Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a novel treatment where the body's own components in the blood, that is Platelets which contain lots of growth factors and cytokines, are isolated using special centrifuge techniques and deployed into the target areas of the body to repair and restore the parts of the body and structures.

At Koncept we do 3rd generation PRP where the separation process yields some stem cell too along with platelets which are also deployed at the injection site.

No additional agents are used except for the patients own blood components and its very safe.

How does Treatment help?
  • The platelets in the blood contain lots of growth factors and cytokines which are helpful for repairing and rejuvenating the times where ever they are deployed.
  • We use 3rd Generation PRP where a small quantity of stem cells are also harvested along with PRP which gives a strong rejuvenating effect to our method.
The Benefits/Wellness
Very safe method. Patients own blood products used. No medicines are agents mixed. So no change or any reaction of side-effects. Since we do a specialised third-generation process that gives us stem cells along with PRP the effectiveness in superior.
The Procedures

Blood drawing about 30 ml. Spin for 15 minutes at specific RPM. The plasma collected and put under light and vibration. The remaining blood in the tube put to spin again for 15 minutes and now the plasma and stem cells harvested. The first and second harvest spin again and finally PRP harvested for deployment.

Duration
The time from time of blood collection to development is around 2 hours. This is mainly due to the spin (centrifuge) 3 times at different RPM for longer time.
About Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma called PRP is a novel treatment where the body's own components in the blood are isolated using special techniques and deployed into the target areas of the body to repair and restore the parts of the body and structures

About the treatment:

We draw about 30 ml of blood from a vein and it is put in a special test tube and spun at specific RPM and platelets harvested.

These platelets are subjected to a light stimulator and vibrator to release growth factors from platelets. The remaining blood is spun again twice along with the light activator harvest and the final harvest after the third spin which comes with stem cells is deployed into the specific required area relatively painlessly.

The Procedure is repeated after a month or fortnight depending upon the required for effective impact.

One of the components of the blood is the "Platelets" which has lots of growth factors, cytokines and proteolytic enzymes apart from the chemicals involved in the blood clotting mechanism.

Apart from the platelets, the stem cells and mesenchymal cells are also separated from the blood after centrifugation and activated using light and vibration technique which is called a Third Generation PRP and deployed in the target areas under aseptic precautions.

This PRP technique used in our facility is autologous in nature and done using fresh blood. Because of this, the technique is 100% safe and has no chance of any adverse reactions or rejections.

FAQ

What does a PRP do?

The platelets contain alpha-granules which is loaded with growth factors and cytokines and also stem cells which help in REGENRATION of the local tissues in the area of deployment.

What are the indications for PRP?
  • Androgenic Alopecia
  • Alopecia Areata
  • Acne Scars And Keloids
  • Skin Rejuvenation And Face Lift
  • Wound Healing
  • Injured Tissues, Ligaments And Tendons
  • Osteoarthritis Of Knee, Hip And Shoulder Joints
  • Lumbar And Cervical Pain
  • Lipolysis Especially Abdominal Fat And For Body Sculpting
Does it give pain relief?

Yes. PRP gives pain relief due to its primary analgesic effect. stimulation of Thrombin receptors shown to increase pain threshold.

Is it safe?

Since the patient's own blood components are used in this therapy, with no additional ingredients, there is no chance for any side effects. since it is been done under aseptic conditions in an operation theatre set-up, with laminar flow functionality, there is no chance of any infection or adverse reactions.
